After attending her best friend’s wedding, Sara Laffer put together a comic cookbook that included Jewish holiday recipes and low carbohydrate everyday meals alike, entitled GELFILTE FISH, MATZO BALLS… AND PORK CHOPS? This 55 recipe collection was emailed, photocopied and passed on to friends getting married, to their sisters who were already married, to their friends, their friend’s sisters, and so on.

Finally, Sara decided to broaden her scope to every type of woman with the launch of her popular “food and fashion” website, www.cookinginheelstv.com based on the same principles her original recipe pamphlet stood for—quick food so easy you can even cook in your heels.
